Help

Common tasks for collaborating and publishing your work.

Sharing

Share a Workbook or an individual page with precise roles:

  • Viewer — read only.
  • Commenter — read + comment.
  • Editor — full edit access.
  1. Open the Workbook or page.
  2. Click Share → choose people or create a link.
  3. Select a role and (optionally) set link expiry.
Privacy note: Guest access respects your share settings; you can revoke a link at any time.
Important: Sharing with unique IDs

When you share a Workbook (or its parts) with a user’s unique ID, the share is tied to that specific account. The unique handle is only used to identify the user at the moment of sharing.

  • The document remains shared even if the user later changes their handle.
  • If another user chooses the same handle in the future, the document will not be shared with them.

Print

Print clean copies of Docs or Book pages:

  1. Open the page, then choose File → Print (or Ctrl/⌘+P).
  2. Select a preset (A4/Letter, margins, and scale).
  3. Optionally export to PDF for sharing.
Tip: In both Book and Docs, the content appears as a continuous page. Page breaks are visible only in print preview (PDF) or when printing.
